How the BSAPScanner is
Initialized
The device-independent scan task initialization is outlined in Device-Independent
Scan Task Initialization§
. The initialization is performed on
startup of the scan task. The following initialization is specific to the
BSAPScanner:
- reads in debug device and opens file pointer to it.
- checks to see if the OpenBSI "communication line" identified by the
communication port's point name is running, if not, the line is started.
- if the optimize flag is set to
one, the scan task will query for the MSD (Master Signal Directory)
number of all scan input/output table records that have a "msd"
field of zero. If the optimize flag is set to two, the scan task will
request for the MSD number of all scan input/output records.
